Jordan Halland is a Brooklyn-based director, producer, and creative strategist with over 15 years of experience making films for brands, organizations, and audiences worldwide.
Jordan brings a stripped-down vérité sensibility to stories about identity, resilience, and the human experience. Whether he's illuminating melting glaciers in Alaska, filming river-surfers in the heart of Montana, or documenting asylum seekers arriving into the US, he has made a career of capturing emotional, human-centered narratives.
His client list includes Netflix, HBO, CBS, Canon, Vice, Disney, and Outside Magazine, as well as startups and nonprofits focused on social impact. His projects have ranged from intimate profiles to multi-day international productions.
He is the recipient of two Vimeo Staff Picks for his short films, Strongwater and Shaving for Beginners. After a career of writing and directing commercials and documentaries, Jordan made his first jump into narrative with his short film, Heal.
He is an ambassador for Canon, SmallHD, Sachtler, Quasar, Litepanels, Anton Bauer, and Scosche. Through those partnerships he has taught workshops highlighting his unique approach to filmmaking at major film festivals and at Canon's headquarters in Burbank.
An adventure filmmaker turned director, Jordan brings empathy, agility, and a collaborative spirit to every project. Based in Brooklyn, available worldwide.
